Cristina de Miguel We loved our stay at Desert Courses in Rann of Kutch. The resort is very beautiful and peaceful, the food was very tasty, and the hut very comfortable. Dhanraj was extremely helpful, he arranged trip to Bhuj. He gave us really good travelling advice and offered to help us with anything needed. Both safaris, afternoon and morning vere amazing, our guide was super knowledgeable of all the animals and we saw many different bird species, the wild asses, wild boar and even a wolf. We also visited the salt farm, and met very friendly people. All together it was a really good experience and everyone was lovely. Amélie Rolland-Lamothe Our stay at Desert Coursers was truly unforgettable! The hospitality of Dhanraj, his wife Zaida, and their son Armaan went beyond expectations—they welcomed us like family and made every moment special. We did two safaris to see the wild ass, but the wildlife sightings were much more abundant—antelopes, foxes, painted storks, flamingos, and even migrating cranes made for an incredible experience. The village walk was another highlight, giving us a rare and authentic glimpse into local life. It was clear how much the family is respected in the community, and we saw firsthand how they give back through schools and charitable work. The eco-lodge itself is a perfect blend of tradition and comfort. The koobas (traditional huts) are simple yet spotless, with air-conditioning available if needed and hot water provided. Every meal was a treat—delicious home-cooked Gujarati cuisine. Beyond the family, the staff at Desert Coursers is just as exceptional—attentive, kind, and always ensuring we had everything we needed. Their warmth and dedication made our stay even more special. As a group, we all wished we could have stayed much longer. The peaceful atmosphere, warm hospitality, and the beautiful surroundings made it feel like a second home. I highly recommend Desert Coursers! B K This is one of the bestest places to be if you are into birding and wild life. The Owner Mr Dhanraj Malik and his son Arman Malik are the experts in birding and probably have the last word in the region. Your absolute best place. They take so much care into guiding your trip and working with you to find out what your needs are and literally go out of their way to make your trip a resounding success. Their guides are also the total rocks stars and know their words so darn well. The entire staff and crew of this place is truly rocking. If you are a nature lover or a enthusiast or an expert - this has to be on your bucket list. I would recommend staying four days or more so you can get the max out of your trip. They also have a volunteer program. Please connect with them directly to know more about it. Dhaval If you want to feel the real nature of the little rann of kutch then it's a perfect place for you. Gopal Bhaskaran My best birding trip by far! How can it not be with that epic landscape and the amazing birdlife! But when it is complemented by an absolutely charming resort and staff who make you feel like you have known them your entire life, it cannot get any better. I cherish my memories of the time I could afford to spend in this beautiful place and can't wait to go back. Musabhai, my guide, with an eye better than an eagle and energy and enthusiasm which I can't fathom, thank you so much! Bhavesh and Varnika who made me feel at home and for the very enjoyable conversations, love you both! And of course, Mr. Dhanraj, ever so thankful to you for being so accommodative and for hosting me at your resort! Shehin Rahemtulla A beautiful oasis in the desert with friendly hosts, delicious Gujarati food, comfortable cabins and adventurous wildlife safaris. Highly recommended Mark Linsley We stayed here for two nights in late January and very much liked it. We very much liked the setting amongst trees and the location surrounded by scrub. It was full of birdlife. The rooms were comfortable and the food was very good. We did two very enjoyable safaris seeing a lot of birdlife and also striped hyena and desert fox. The owner was outstandingly helpful and very kind to us. We were very sorry we didn't stay longer and hope to return. Highly recommended. Akash Agrawal We just returned from the most incredible stay at desert coursers, and I'm still reeling from the experience! Tucked away in a lush corner of zainabad, this eco-lodge is a true gem that exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in warm hospitality by the staff and the owners, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of magical. Our room was a cozy, eco-friendly haven with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The lodge's commitment to sustainability is truly inspiring. It's clear that the owners and staff are passionate about preserving the natural beauty of the area. The food was simply outstanding, with delicious, locally-sourced home cooked meals. And the activities! From birdwatching and mammal excursions to stargazing sessions and campfires, there was no shortage of ways to immerse ourselves in nature. What truly sets desert courses apart, however, is its sense of ownness. From the warm welcomes to the heartfelt goodbyes, we felt like we were part of a big, happy family. If you're looking for a truly unforgettable eco-lodge experience, look no further than desert coursers. We can't wait to return and relive the magic! Anchal Agrawal The best trip ever. The place is an eco lodge so don't expect or want a 5 star resort like vibe but the treatment the hospitality the owners are much more than 5 star. The cuba is beautiful small quaint. With all basic amenities. One with nature. The food so simple tasty and tummy filling. Dhanraj uncle his wife are perfect hosts. They treat you not like but Just family. I can't praise them or their hospitality enough. The safari was awesome with ariv as the guide. He is so so good. We spotted the wild ass the fox the hedgehog jackal and so so so rare desert cat. Yess. And the list of birds is endless. I could go on and on about the species and varieties he showed us and the knowledge bank he is. The dinner the camp fir was oh so good. Dhanraj Uncle and aunty (as I fondly got to calling them due to their love) even arranged a coffee by the lake for us and oh it was awesome -seeing cranes, pelican, flamingos, spoonbill and so many more right in front with coffee in hand. AND YES for those wondering this is one of the MOST reasonable rated places. One UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. The one and only time I wish i could rate higher than 5 stars. Just a note as this is an eco lodge pls carry your own toiletries. They provide soap and towels but if u forget something feel free to ask they will arrange something for you as they did for us (we forgot our toothpaste🫢) Bharati Kelkar We stayed for two days in this resort and it was an amazing and mesmerising experience. Mr. Dharaj Mallick and family are great host. Both the father and son are quite knowledgeable. They took all possible efforts for citing the birds and wildlife. The cherry on the cake was the fantastic moonlight dinner in the desert. Those moments are really unforgettable, lifetime experience. Thanks a lot for such an lovely stay in a very thoughtfully designed and arranged decorative and ecofriendly huts.

The bed, room and all furniture has rural touch.
